Continuing my challenge to make a new piece of art each day for thirty days, my pieces for days 6 and 7 both have a circular theme.
Day 6 is one of my favourite pieces so far. So simple and yet so effective. Using my trusty ruler and ink pen, I selected a centre point and drew randomised straight lines outward from the centre. At first I just had the lines with circles at either end but I felt that it wasn’t enough to make the piece really interesting, so I started drawing the small circles and that really worked well.

I’m imagining this piece in a much bigger size, with many hundreds of lines. It could be beautiful. Definitely one of the ones I want to explore further.
For day 7 I wanted to try and replicate a common pattern I see in my head when I’m thinking and making decisions, so this piece grew organically from the centre. I could see it in my mind as I made it.

The result isn’t accurate but it never could be as the patterns in my head are constantly changing. Still I’m happy with the result for day 7.
